GCCS-J Field Engineer /Team Lead                           Afghanistan/Iraq                              CENTCOM AOR

The Joint Deployable Intelligence Support System (JDISS) Joint Program Office (JPO) requires a Unix Systems Administrator/DBA with experience working with GCCS-J system architecture to provide technical and engineering services. Will administer GCCS-J  systems/servers in the CENTCOM AOR.  This position will involve COTS/GOTS software integration, implementation of the Defense Information Infrastructure Common Operating Environment (DII COE) and DoDIIS standards, system installation/configuration/testing and technical support for CENTCOM operations. Candidate will have hands-on experience working with CENTCOM GCCS systems and user community and current intelligence tools being employed across CENTCOM intelligence architecture. Candidate will be working at various sites throughout the CENTCOM AOR with a primary location expected to be in Afghanistan or Iraq.  Candidate will be a self-starter who is well versed in GCCS and intelligence systems operations.

Basic Qualifications include:

Intermediate to Advanced command of the Solaris Unix operating system. Operational experience working with the Global Command and Control Systems (GCCS) and any of it's service variants (GCCS-M, GCCS-A, GCCS-AF, IAS/IOS, and/or TBMCS). Must possess skills associated with installation, maintenance and basic operations of GCCS servers and other JDISS platforms with emphasis on comms configuration, track data flow and synchronization of intelligence support to the Common Operational Picture (COP). Prefer 10 - 12 years relevant experience.

Desired skills/experience include:

Familiarity with the GCCS Integrated Imagery and Intelligence "I cubed" servers and applications, the Collection Management Work Station (CMWS) and/or Collection Management Mission Applications (CMMA) are highly desired. Previous experience providing support to CENTCOM or any of the U.S. Combatant Commands or associated theater assets is a plus. Applicant must be eligible for, or able to obtain, the appropriate clearance required for this position. US Citizenship required.
