Mass Notification Systems Engineer

Job Description:  Involved with the design, development and installation of physical security enhancements and command and control projects focusing on Mass Notification Systems (MNS).   Responsible for working with clients to plan, manage, design and supervise the installation of these projects. Will coordinate with other staff engineers as needed to design, integrate and install Mass Notification/Giant Voice Systems with secondary responsibility for the development of installation design packages for Electronic Access Control, C4I, communications and Intrusion Detection systems.  Responsible for development of baseline engineering documentation (SEP, PMP, requirements, etc.), Installation Design Plans, Bills of Material, and costing the associated installation efforts.  Travel and on-site engineering support for installation efforts may be required.  Will be involved with some or all of the following general job activities:

Education:  A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, Electrical Engineering preferred.  Four years experience with Mass Notification Systems/C4I systems design required; six years desired.  Experience with electronic physical security systems required. 

 

Required skills:  Must be fully able to work with various types of engineering drawings, including block diagrams, wiring diagrams, power flow diagrams and various types of structural plans.  Ability to design in AutoCAD required.  SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain one is required.  Experience in MadahCom and/or Federal Signals product line of Mass Notification Systems required
