Program Manager
Job Description:
Responsible for the development and
execution of program related to Electronic and Physical Security Systems.
Involved with the overall prgram management
and control of an electronic security systems program.
Will lead a team of project managers, engineers and technicians in the
design, procurement, integration and installation of electronic security
systems, other physical security enhancements and command and control projects.
This program will also be responsible for the full Life-Cycle support of
the installed systems. The program
Manager is responsible for working with clients to plan, manage, direct the
design, installation and life cycle support efforts of this program(s). Projects
within the program will focus on access control, EOC/ROC, C4I, CCTV,
communications, mass notification and intrusion detection systems.
Responsible for the development of task order proposals as well as the
cost, schedule and quality of the work performed in the completion of the tasks.
Travel and on-site project management support for installation efforts
may be required.
Will be involved with some or all of the
following general job activities as they relate at the programmatic level:
Education: A bachelors degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science. Masters Degree in Engineering or MBA is required. Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification is required
Experience: Fifteen (15) years project/program management experience. At least ten (10) years experience shall be as a direct supervisor. Experience shall include financial management, staffing, contract compliance, deliverables and client relations. Must also have experience in managing programs/projects for SPAWAR- Charleston with particular emphasis on electronic security systems, design and installation
Required skills: Must understand the project management process and the use of various cost control measures to include EVM. Must be able to use MS Project and be able to develop detailed, resource loaded schedules. Must be able to write clearly and concisely to produce a variety of project planning documents and reports. Must be able to communicate well with persons at all levels of the project management process, from technicians to senior customer staff. Able to make effective presentations to customers and senior management. A security clearance may be required for this position required.
